One Hundred ... Billion Dollars

  • Jul. 24th, 2008 at 7:02 PM
*pinky to beak*

Amid Zimbabwe's mind-boggling hyper inflation, a new 100 billion dollar bank note has more value as a novelty item on eBay than on the streets of the capital. article [brisbanetimes.com.au]

In other news, work bought me a new, 30 inch monitor for work. It is very shiny. Just need to figure out how to drive it at its full resolution. ovo;; X.org can be annoying to set up at times.

Monolithic monitor is monolithic.

It actually doesn't feel as if I were overly productive lately, yet here are some of the resuls of me trying to make a break from learning for my history of arts exam.

Ahh, the smell of fresh roadkill in the morning!

Ok,now before anybody starts bashing me. I do NOT approve of radkill, NOR do I think it's fun in anyway to squish poor animals into the profile of a BMW's tire profile. But I DO think this fits well into Max's reception of humour and leasure time activities, so eat it or don't. :p

I will not react towards any outraged howls of, well... outrage. *g*

So as you obviously see it's another ACEO for my small Sam & Max collection. There shall be more. Muahaha!

Sam & Max are (c) by Steve Purcell

A thank you for Chmarr, who was so kind to take care of some art show matters for me at this years' FurtherConfusion.

Finished piece for Ariana Wolfmare, who asked me to do a picture as a gift for her mate for their wedding. I have never before been asked to do something that personal and I am flattered and honoured beyond words.

This shows her wolfmare character and her mate during the, I believe Celtic, ritual of handfastening.

The colour of the tiger btw. was meant to be reddish orange. It's not a fault of my scanner. ^^;

Here's a piece I painted for my alternate website at www.blotchinc.com, a site you could show your grandmother! (But if she's into kink, she's welcome to visit www.screwbald.com)

Anyhow, in a few hours I'm hopping a plane to ComicCon International in San Diego! I'm just going to see the sights, but you may catch me lurking at Sofawolf Press' table. They'll have some copies of the Dog's Days of Summer, but for those who can't attend ComicCon--the books will be for sale online tomorrow (and if you order in the first week their up, you get a discount!) [More Info]
That is all; back to work I go!

Allright people! Iam off to San Diego in a few hours! I'll be getting in early thursday morning and leaving sunday afternoon.

I'll be costuming in the afternoons on friday and saturday, at the table thursday, fri, sat on and off. I might costume thursday if my costume boner can't be contained....

SEE YOU THERE!!! I'm tall and I have pink, short hair and tattoos which probably describes about a thousand chicks there. Just look for an okami/thundercats arm and a foo dog/snake arm and a loud mouth. I'll be carrying a canvas bag with one of my monster face patches and buttons on it.

Hey and [info]mythos_amante said she met some steampunk kids there that know me! Who was it? Speak up! :D

Helps! I needs thems!

This is frustrating...

I have such a hard time keeping this brief--

Within the past four months, my sleeping has been affected by something or someone on the spiritual realm.
I will get ready for bed in my usual fashion, feel completely comfortable, and the second my head hits the pillow, and I close my eyes- I feel uncomfortable. I feel eyes on me, and that there is someone standing or hovering right next to me. like they're getting as close to me as they can, but not touching me...It's such a weird feeling, even if I'm not sleeping alone it's sometimes still there.

I have always felt that I was given an ability to discern between a pleasant energy and a negative one. This energy/presence I sense is quite negative, and quite persistent. Not to mention - NOISY! Even if I don't stay at MY house, I hear footsteps and things moving around at my friend's house if I stay there. Even He has noticed it...And as I'm typing this, I'm beginning to hear tapping and the floor making noise as if someone is walking around. I keep getting goosebumps all over. And I'm not sure if it's coincidence but the neighbor's dog outside, AND my dog keeps barking too. and usually only when I sense this...? Ugh.

I have cleansed my house, my property. I keep things clutter free. I am not depressed. I am very spiritually healthy, as well as physically. perhaps, because I am aware of the spiritual realm, they feel the need to bother me? I don't know!

I don't feel powerless to it. I don't feel dread, or the usual "shadow being" type things. However, I have noticed that if I pray or speak out loud against it, it goes away, and my feelings of being stared at/whatnot alleviate.

Is there any reason that a demonic or repetitive negative entity would be visiting me at night?

It's just aggravating, because I have been sensing spirits and things of the like for the past ten years, and I've never had something so RUDE come around every single night. I don't appreciate it, and I want it to stop.

thanks for reading!

I Can Fly!

  • Jul. 23rd, 2008 at 11:51 PM
Tattoo design for a totemic-style hawk. I sketched it at work, since I often see more hawks than people. Ah, solitude. There are at least five that visit me: three red-tailed, and two larger, darker ones. I drew the hawk worshiping a solar disk 'cause 1) that's how I usually see them, flying around the sun, and 2) I consider them to be sun critters, in a spiritual sense of the world.
